In Leith, For Leith, Sharing Christ.

A congregation inside a church holding a service. People are standing and facing the altar. There are three individuals on the stage at the front, with a large screen displaying song lyrics or words of worship behind them. The church features high vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows along the sides, and hanging pendant lights.

Our Story

Hope Church Leith exists to share the greatest news ever told: that Jesus Christ lived, died and rose again to give people real hope and lasting joy. We are a church made up of people who have this hope, and we want the people of Leith to have it too.

Where We’ve Come From

HCL (previously Elder Memorial Free Church), in many ways, isn’t doing anything new. For over 150 years, people have gathered in this building to hear and speak about Jesus, and so we’re simply standing on the shoulders of all who have gone before us. With God’s help, we want to serve this community and share the same good news that has always been shared.
